Grace Hill Photography bio picture
  • Hello!

    Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my blog! Here you can learn a little about me, my style and find some of my most recent work.

    I fell in love with photography when I was in high school but didn't follow my dream of becoming a photographer until I graduated college. My husband bought me a "fancy" camera right after we were married and I couldn't put it down. Through my adorable nieces and nephews, families, children and couples in love I found my passion of telling stories through pictures and producing artistic pictures that make you feel.

    I am a huge fan of natural light. While shooting, I try to capture the true emotions that are shared between my subjects when they are just being themselves and forget they are being photographed. I love capturing the real natural moments, to me, that's what makes a beautiful photograph.

    When I'm not behind the lens you can find me walking my sweet pups {Otis the pug and Ziggy the beagle}, enjoying life with my handsome hubby, traveling to a sandy beach or snow covered mountain side and spending quality time with friends and family. I love to laugh and try to see the good in every situation.

    I'm so excited that you have stopped by, and I truly hope that that our paths cross soon. I would love to hear from you, so if you are interested in booking a photo shoot or a wedding please fill out the contact info I'd love to hear from you.

Daniele + Chris ~ I DO {Charlotte Wedding Photographer}

Daniele and Chris are so in love. One of my favorite things about photographing weddings are capturing the love and happiness shared between two people…. the way they look at each other….. the way they touch each other…. There is just this something that can be felt between two people and you know their love will last forever and they will grow old together. Daniele and Chris just happen to be one of those couples. They enjoyed every second of their wedding day and put so much thought and effort into every single centerpiece and detail. Every single thing was meaningful and the day just turned out to be perfect. Congratulations you two love birds! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!

David is ONE {Lake Norman Children’s Photographer}

Wow – life has been REALLY crazy this month! I am a bit behind on blogging… with all the shoots and weddings I have had this month I’m just trying to get images edited and disks out the door to clients as fast as I can. Hopefully I will get caught up on blogging and you can see all the love and sweetness I have been capturing.

I just love watching little ones grow up behind my lens. I photographed David for the first time one year ago for his newborn sesison. He was adorable then and is even more adorable now. Earlier this month I got to spend a little time with David for his 1st birthday! OMG this.child.is.precious. He smiled the entire time and I just LOVE the little glasses and outfits his mother brought for him to wear. I just can’t stand the cuteness!!

thanks for stopping by!

Elizabeth {Lake Norman Newborn Photographer}

Elizabeth’s parents are head over heels in love with their baby girl. I could feel the love and admiration beaming form this sweet family as I was photographing them. I can already tell that Elizabeth is going to be such a daddy’s girl. She is perfect from her tiny toes to her full head of black hair. Enjoy the sweetness!

Debbie Brooks - So beautiful! How could you possibly choose which ones to frame? I do love the ones where everyone’s feet are at the end of the bed. That I’d very original and so cute. But my all time favorite is where Richard is kissing Ashley, and Ashley is kissing Elizabeth! So precious.

Deanna - They’re all PERFECT!! Love them and Love you guys!!
I have to agree with Debbie, pics with your feet at end of bed and pic of Richard kissing Ashley, Ashley kissing Elizabeth are adorable. Love, Love, Love #’s 13, 93, 95, I want #88 to make cards. xoxo

The Sexton Family {Charlotte Family Photographer}

I absolutely loved spending the evening with this sweet family. Dave and I worked together for about 4 years when I was just getting my photography business off the ground. I made a huge decision and left my graphic design job last year to focus on my photography business 100%  and haven’t looked back since. I miss all my co-workers but that’s about it… It was so nice seeing Dave, meeting his adorable family and capturing their personalities.

Samantha + Kyle ~ Engaged! {Charlotte Wedding Photographer}

The moment Samantha + Kyle sat down at Starbucks at our first meeting I knew we were a good fit. I loved the excitement in Samantha’s voice when she was telling about their wedding day. I loved how Kyle sat next to her, held her hand and smiled as she went into detail about their engagement, ceremony, and reception venue. They both seemed like a fun loving couple who were excited about their wedding day and just wanted everyone to celebrate and have fun.

When we started talking about ideas for their engagement session I asked if there was anything they liked to do together or if they had any interests. After playing around with some ideas Kyle mentioned that he liked to brew beer – PERFECT! Kyle was living in NoDa at the time of our meeting so we decided to start off at a Heist Brewery and ended up at a little park in NoDa
