  • Hi there!

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my blog! Here you can learn a little about me, my style and find some of my most recent work.

I live in Charlotte, NC and specialize in lifestyle & wedding photography.

I fell in love with photography when I was in high school but didn't follow my dream of becoming a photographer until I graduated college. My husband bought me a "fancy" camera right after we were married and I couldn't put it down. Through my adorable nieces and nephews, families, children and couples in love I found my passion of telling stories through pictures and producing artistic pictures that make you feel.

I am a huge fan of natural light. While shooting, I try to capture the true emotions that are shared between my subjects when they are just being themselves and forget they are being photographed. I love capturing the real natural moments, to me, that's what makes a beautiful photograph.

When I'm not behind the lens you can find me enjoying life with my baby girl and handsome hubby, walking my sweet pups {Otis the pug and Ziggy the beagle}, traveling to a sandy beach or snow covered mountain side and spending quality time with friends and family. I love to laugh and try to see the good in every situation.

I'm so excited that you have stopped by, and I truly hope that that our paths cross soon. I would love to hear from you, so if you are interested in booking a photo shoot or a wedding please fill out the contact info - can't wait to meet you!

Greg + Ellen | Charlotte Wedding Photographer

I absolutely loved getting to know Greg and Ellen during their engagement session last fall. They are such a sweet, fun loving couple! Greg’s laugh is contagious so when he laughed, which was pretty often, it made Ellen laugh which made for some pretty sweet pictures. The sunlight was golden for their session. Light flooded in through the trees making everything look magical at one point. I can’t wait for their wedding this fall at Foundations For the Carolinas. It’s going to be GORGEOUS!! Here are some of my favorites form our evening together.2015-01-15_00022015-01-15_00032015-01-15_0004

The Summers Family | Charlotte Family Photographer

I’ve been photographing the Summers family for about 4 years now. We met when when their first child was born and I got to watch her grow through my lens for the first year. She was such a little ham in front of the camera. When baby number two came along I was so excited when Sarah contacted me to do her newborn pictures. It was so nice to meet their new addition and I always love seeing old clients and catching up with them. This fall I had the pleasure of photographing them again! The girls have grown so much and are so adorable. They didn’t LOVE the idea of me following them around with a camera but by the end of the session they warmed up. We ran, we played, we had tickle fights and we looked at ducks. We had a great afternoon together! Here are some of my favorites form our time together.

The Vernon Family | Charlotte Family Photographer

Last fall I got to photograph one of the sweetest families I know… the Vernon family. Not only are they awesome clients of mine but, they are also good friends. Now they live in our neighborhood and we get to  have play dates often. I’m so glad I got to take some pictures of Gray for her first birthday. I’m absolutely in love with the silhouette pictures that we got at the end!! Here are some of my favorites from our afternoon together.

Kate + Chris | Charlotte Wedding Photographer

Last year I met with Kate and Chris for coffee to get to know each other and chat about their wedding day. I immediately felt a connection with them. They are so incredibly sweet, down to earth, funny and most importantly in love. They held hands, told me about how they met, where they had their first date and how Chris proposed. It was the best meeting. After about an hour or so of talking we left the coffee shop hugged and went our separate ways. Deep down I hoped and prayed that I would hear form them again. Later that evening I got the sweetest e-mail from Kate saying how much they loved me and wanted to book ASAP!! I was over the moon excited and cannot for their wedding this fall. It’s going to be a magical day and I’m so excited to be a part of it. For their engagement session we met at Tyber Creek Pub, where they had their first date.. We had the best time. Here are some of my favorites from our afternoon together….
